Bryan Carter is the Senior Pastor of Concord Church in Dallas, TX, where he has served as pastor for fifteen years. Concord’s mission is, “People growing people by connecting them to their next step with Christ.” Concord serves over 9,000 members with a commitment to disciple and train men, women, youth, children and its community.
Carter is a passionate leader with a vision for inspiring people to grow to their full potential in Christ. Innovative, strategic, compassionate and visionary are just a few words used by others to describe his character.
Carter leads with a focus on discipling others. He desires to see men grow in their walk with Christ and a passion for strengthening marriages by helping couples understand God’s plan for their relationships. Those desires come to life as he served as co-presenter for “33: The Series” a curriculum on authentic manhood published by Lifeway and presenter for “The Art of Marriage” curriculum published by Family Life Ministries.
Carter is committed to serving the city of Dallas and beyond through working toward city transformation, building stronger families and economic development. As a result, he serves on both faith-based and corporate boards. He currently serves on the boards of Frost Bank Dallas Advisory Board, Impact Dallas Capital, Leadership Network and Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) International. Carter also serves as board chair for Harmony Community Development Corporation, an organization committed to improving the community of southern Dallas through building stronger families and economic development. He also leads the African American Pastors Coalition, a fellowship of over sixty churches committed to serving and addressing key needs in the Dallas community and co-leads Dallas Clergy, a fellowship of Dallas churches. His past board service includes: Mayor’s Taskforce Against Domestic Violence, Impact Dallas Capital, Dallas Habitat for Humanity, Dallas ISD Education Foundation and Mentoring Brother to Brother.
Carter is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a specialty in Science and Math and is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Arts in Christian Education with a specialty in Family Ministry.He also is a recipient of an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Dallas Baptist University.Bryan is married to his college sweetheart, Stephanie and has two daughters, Kaitlyn, 17, and Kennedy, 15, and one son, Carson, 11.
